Our Church Buildings are Closed – Church Goes On!

In response to the ongoing Covid 19 situation all gatherings on Orange Uniting Church property (with the exception of Fusion) have ceased.

This includes all activities such as worship services, other church run activities, and activities run by outside organisations in both city and country Uniting Churches in Orange.

This decision has been taken because we have a responsibility towards one another in our community of faith. By keeping distant from one another, not touching physically, not gathering in groups, we lessen the possibility that we pass on the virus to one another.

We also have a responsibility to other people in our society. By not gathering, we reduce the spread of the virus in society.

Essential pastoral hospital and home visits will be maintained at this time in accordance with current health guidelines. Consideration will be given to funerals with continued adherence to the current government and church guidelines.

These are extraordinary times, and lives across the country and the world are being disrupted by the impact. We will continue to care for each other,    maintain our mission to others as a Church, continue in relationship with one another and develop new ways to worship together, yet separately, for the time ahead.

Updates will be provided regularly. Please also check in on Facebook and the website.

During this period we can be encouraged by these words from Joshua 1:9: “Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
